Apia, Samoa – On Friday, July 26, 2024, a new group of Auxiliary members commenced their training program aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) during the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
This training initiative is part of the SPPCS’s strategic preparations to ensure the safety and security of the high-profile event, which will see leaders and delegates from across the Commonwealth converging in Samoa. The Auxiliary members are being trained in various areas, including crowd management, emergency response, and public safety protocols, to effectively assist the police and corrections services in maintaining order and security throughout the duration of CHOGM.
