SPPCS Officers Attend Regional Basic Forensic Course in Fiji

Apia, Samoa – Two distinguished members of the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS), Constable Randy Ng Lam and Woman Constable Me Tuuaga, are currently participating in a one-month regional Basic Forensic Course in Fiji. This program, inaugurated yesterday (Monday 5th August 2024), is aimed at enhancing forensic capabilities across the Pacific region.

The course is attended by police officers from Fiji, American Samoa, and Samoa, and is funded by the Australian Federal Police under their Law Enforcement Cooperation Program. The initiative underscores the commitment to bolster forensic skills and knowledge among law enforcement agencies in the Pacific.

The SPPCS is proud to be represented by Constable Ng Lam and Woman Constable Tuuaga, who are members of the Forensic Unit. Their participation in this course is expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of forensic practices within the SPPCS and the broader Pacific law enforcement community.
