Despite inclement weather dampening the Friday morning skies, the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) orchestrated a poignant marching parade to the government building.
The objective: to ceremoniously hoist the national Samoa flag in honor of International Women’s Day.
This collaborative effort saw the participation of not only the SPPCS but also the Samoa Fire Emergency Services Authority (SFESA) and various other government agencies, all unified in their celebration under the resonant theme of “Inspiring Inclusions.”
Guided by Acting Police Commissioner Lafaitele Herbert Aati, Deputy Commissioner Leiataua Samuelu Afamasaga, and a cohort of esteemed officers, the SPPCS exemplified its unwavering commitment to acknowledging and supporting the significance of International Women’s Day.
Their presence and active involvement in the parade served as a tangible demonstration of solidarity with women’s empowerment and gender equality efforts.
This collective display of unity underscored the broader dedication of these esteemed law enforcement and emergency service agencies to fostering a culture of inclusivity and gender parity within their ranks and throughout the communities they serve.
Through such collaborative initiatives, the SPPCS, SFESA, and their counterparts reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing the rights and opportunities of women in Samoa and beyond
Happy International Women’s Day Samoa.
