The Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) commenced a series of specialized training sessions on Monday, 19th August 2024, aimed at enhancing the skills and readiness of our officers in anticipation of the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
This latest round of training includes Defensive Driving Training and Close Personal Protection (CPP) Driving Training, crucial for ensuring the safety and security of both the public and the distinguished guests attending CHOGM. The training is designed to equip our officers with the necessary skills to handle high-pressure situations, ensure secure transportation of VIPs, and maintain public order during this significant event.
The SPPCS is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and preparedness as Samoa takes on the responsibility of hosting this prestigious gathering. These trainings are an integral part of our efforts to ensure that our officers are fully prepared to meet the challenges ahead.
We express our gratitude to all participating officers and instructors for their dedication and hard work. The SPPCS remains steadfast in its mission to serve and protect our nation, particularly during such significant international events.
