Today marked the launching of the Malu i Fale Campaign 16 Days of Activism of Violence against Women and Children and Person’s with disabilities 2022 spearheaded by the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development. In support of the launch Police Prisons and Correction Services Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo together with other Commissioned Officers lead the special parade which began from the Apia Headquarters towards the Friendship Park earlier today.
The parade saw different ministries, organizations, local village committees and people from all walks of life come together, unified in black attire to mark this milestone in Samoa’s fight against any kind of Violence against Women and Children and Person’s with disabilities and Men. This year’s theme is “Intergenerational dialogue on nurturing safe spaces for Women and Children and Person’s with disabilities and Men”
The 16 Days of Activism will see MWSCD and other agencies take part in various activities and will conclude on the 10th of December in Savaii. Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo congratulates the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development for a successful launch.
As activities progress, Samoa Police, Prisons and Correction Services stands in Support of MWCSD and it’s drive to eliminate violence against women and children, person’s with disabilities and men.
