Today ends a week long schedule of activities including visits for our Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo and Team in New Zealand.
In addition to the formalities our SPPCS team were able to meet some police officers of Samoan descents living and working in Aotearoa.
We were also honoured with a visit from Hon. Minister for Pacific People Aupito William Sio, MP for Mangere
Part of these formalities included SPPCS visit of the NZ Royal Police College in Porirua, the NZ Police Detector Dog Program which has extended it’s training opportunities to one of our Samoan Customs officer who is currently training to be a dog handler
Attending the opening of the NZ Transnational Crime Unit in Auckland as well as deliberations with 2019 Samoa Police Structure Review Team, and a meeting with the NZ Department of Corrections
The week has been fruitful for the Samoa Commissioner of Police and his delegation.
