Inspector Filipo Iloilo and Constable Samuelu Faaofo were officially welcomed home by Acting Commissioner Papalii Monalisa T. Keti on Tuesday 19 November 2019, she congratulated the officers for their professionalism and dedication to serve Sudan and the United Nations. The two officers were deployed to Sudan, Dafur and were there for 1 year.
These officers left their country and families to serve alongside other peacekeepers in interventions such as law enforcement, joint patrols, checkpoints and the escort of humanitarian aid convoys in areas that are affected by the ongoing crisis.
