Over the weekend, the Community Engagement Unit (CEU) had the honour of participating in the Apia West Youth Mini Convention Workshop.
Sharing SPPCS’s experiences and useful information on how we may help teens and young children understand the importance of law enforcement.
The team was able to discuss with the youngsters some of the legislation and actions that have been demonstrated to be applicable to ongoing criminal activity. This includes cyber safety and security, transportation safety (road safety), domestic abuse, and the Alcohol Control Act.
The team provided information about the importance of following the law, as well as the consequences for breaking the law. They also discussed the importance of seeking help when needed and where to go for help. Finally, the team encouraged the youngsters to stay safe and to be responsible.
