Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services has welcomed Master Mamoru Kashikura of Japan. Master Kashikura has openly offered his time to train our Police Officers in preparation for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to be held here in Samoa next year.
It is noted, Master Kashikura is a “world class master in Jiu-jitsu and has received his 2nd Dan from Clark Gracie (a member of the Gracie family which founded Gracie Jiu-Jitsu). Mamoru Kashikura has taught Muay Thai world champions, “notably Buakaw Banchamek, Superbon Mawynn, and Petchtanong Petchfergus”
Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo and Acting Assistant Commissioner Salilō Norman Meni, on behalf of SPPCS, thanked Mamoru and his team for their services and look forward to working with them as preparations for CHOGM get underway.
