Queensland Police Service Visits Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services

Apia, Samoa – On Monday, 2nd September 2024, members of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) visited the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) as part of an international law enforcement exchange.

During their visit, the QPS delegation toured the SPPCS Headquarters in Apia, where they observed the operations of various divisions within the organization. This provided valuable insight into Samoa’s policing practices.

The delegation also visited the Samoa Police Training Academy at Tafa’igata, where they were introduced to the academy’s programs and facilities. This exchange allowed both organizations to share knowledge and experiences aimed at enhancing law enforcement capabilities in Samoa and across the Pacific region.

This visit underscores the strong relationship between Samoa and Queensland, fostering collaboration and mutual support between their law enforcement agencies in the continued effort to maintain safety and security for their communities.
