Apia, Samoa – July 5, 2024 – Today, nine dedicated members of the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services successfully completed a two-week intensive Defensive Driving Training program. This critical training equips officers with the skills necessary to operate police vehicles safely and effectively, a crucial capability as the country prepares for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The training focused on enhancing driving techniques, ensuring the safety of officers and the public, and preparing for any challenging driving situations that may arise during high-profile events like CHOGM.
The completion of this program marks a significant milestone in the continuous efforts to improve the operational readiness of Samoa’s law enforcement agencies.
