Samoa Police Officer Participates in International Maritime Security Program

Apia, Samoa – Constable Tilomai Gatoloai of the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services is making history as she participates in the prestigious 6th Japan-ASEAN and Timor Leste & the 2nd Japan Pacific Island Countries Ship Rider Cooperation Program 2024. This significant event, hosted by the Japan Ministry of Defense, focuses on addressing contemporary maritime security issues and includes 16 participants from various regions.

Constable Gatoloai holds the distinction of being the first female from the Pacific to join this esteemed program. Her participation underscores Samoa’s commitment to enhancing maritime security and collaborating on global initiatives to address pressing security challenges.
