In a significant development for Samoa’s security preparations, Samoa Police, Prison & Corrections Services (SPPCS) Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo, along with Deputy Commissioner Papali’i Monalisa Tiai-Keti and the CHOGM Planning Team, convened with representatives from some of Samoa’s leading security firms. TAS Security, ALFA Security, KL Security, TOP Security, and TCB Security were among those present.
The meeting, held to discuss the impending CHOGM meeting scheduled for later this October, aimed to strategize on ensuring the safety and security of all attendees. One of the key points of discussion was the potential employment of auxiliary personnel to bolster SPPCS efforts during the high-profile event.
While no concrete decisions have been made yet, the gathering served as an opportunity for SPPCS to outline their considerations for additional support. The overarching goal remains to enhance security measures not only for SPPCS but also to safeguard the well-being of CHOGM participants. Stay tuned for further updates as preparations for the event progress.
