Today, Wednesday 27th March 2024, marked a significant milestone for the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) as Deputy Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Tiai-Keti, alongside sibling duo Assistant Commissioner Galumalemana Eneliko Taeu Masipau and Inspector Apaula Taeu, were admitted to the bar. Hailing from Sapapalii Savaii and Maagiagi, the trio completed their bar exams concurrently, culminating in their admission to the bar on this auspicious date.
In a ceremony presided over by Chief Justice Satiu Simativa Perese and attended by Samoa Attorney General Su’a Hellene Wallwork, the three officers were officially recognized as Barristers & Solicitors of the Honorable Supreme Court of Samoa. Family members, including Papaliʻi Liʻo Taeu Masipau, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Samoa, were present to witness this memorable occasion, underscoring the significance of familial support in their journey.
The event was graced by the presence of SPPCS Executive members, Senior Management, and fellow officers, all of whom gathered to extend their heartfelt congratulations and support. Minister of Police Faualo Harry Schuster was also in attendance, further emphasizing the significance of this achievement within the law enforcement community.
Chief Justice Satiu Simativa Perese commended the newly admitted lawyers, acknowledging their dual roles as both police officers and legal practitioners within the esteemed Supreme Court of Samoa.
