Today, on the 14th of March 2024, Interpol collaborated with the Samoa Police, Prisons, and Corrections Services (SPPCS) to prepare for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) later this year.
They discussed ensuring the smooth and safe running of CHOGM. Topics included assessing risks, determining police deployment, and utilizing new technology for surveillance.
The meeting demonstrated Interpol and the SPPCS working together to ensure CHOGM’s safety and success. They also emphasized the importance of sharing information and building trust among all involved parties.
At the meeting’s conclusion, an Interpol member presented Samoa’s Police Commissioner with a special token, symbolizing their partnership and shared commitment to law enforcement and safety.
This meeting aimed to prepare and cooperate for CHOGM 2024, highlighting their dedication to maintaining safety and fairness globally.
