Hand Over ceremony of the new vessel and generator for Savaii Outpost.

The Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo and South Pacific Defence Advisor Colonel Sean Benporath as well as the Maritime Surveillance Advisor Jared Willans and TA Chief Petty Officer Chris Marsh travelled over to Savaii for the official handover of donated assets from the Australian Defence to assist with daily police operations in Savaii.

This handover was conducted this morning Monday 22nd of January 2024at Tuasivi. The donated assets include a backup generator for Tuasivi Outpost and a new small boat for maritime coastal operations in Savaii.

Assistant Commissioner Eneliko Taeu expressed gratitude to South Pacific Defence Advisor Lt. Colonel Sean Benporath and Commander Jared Willans, and TA Chief Petty Officer Chris Marsh for their support.

SPPCS acknowledges the ongoing support of the Australian Defence.
