Apia, Samoa – From 8-12 July 2024, the Samoa Police Prisons and Corrections Services (SPPCS) CHOGM Planning Team conducted comprehensive one-on-one sessions with each division of the SPPCS. These sessions aimed to keep officers and staff informed and updated about the ongoing preparations for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The Planning Team also visited various outposts to ensure that all units, regardless of their location, are fully prepared for the upcoming event. These visits were instrumental in addressing specific concerns and tailoring preparations to the unique needs of each division.
The one-on-one sessions covered various aspects of the preparation, including security measures, coordination with other agencies, and logistical support. The CHOGM Planning Team emphasized the importance of collaboration and communication among all divisions to ensure a successful CHOGM.
As Samoa gears up to host CHOGM, these proactive measures by SPPCS are vital in ensuring the safety and security of the event, which will see the participation of leaders and delegates from across the Commonwealth.
