Apia, Samoa – 24 July 2024: Earlier today, the Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services (SPPCS) launched the training for the fifth lot of auxiliaries with an official opening ceremony. This cohort of auxiliaries will play a critical role in supporting SPPCS during the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The ceremony was marked by encouraging words from Assistant Commissioner Leausalilo Norman Meni, who underscored the significance of the auxiliaries’ commitment and the importance of their role. He emphasized the dedication and responsibility required in their calling, highlighting how their contributions would be vital to ensuring the safety and security of the CHOGM event.
The training program aims to equip the auxiliaries with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively assist in various capacities, ensuring a seamless and secure environment for the international delegates and dignitaries attending the meeting.
