On July 12, 2024, the Samoa Police Prisons and Corrections Services (SPPCS) Maritime Unit successfully concluded an intensive training program conducted by the New Zealand Navy. The training included critical scenarios such as man overboard, search and rescue operations, and damage control.
This comprehensive training is part of the preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and aims to enhance the capabilities of the Maritime Unit.
